With his muscular body, magnified by his tight suit, the cloak placed on the shoulders, the head deliberately reduced, the stone sculpture of James releases the strength of the Bolshevik sculptures. Superman reaches out, like Stalin indicating the direction to follow. The American vigilante could just as easily have embodied Communist propaganda. James questions history through the confrontation of the two giants of the Cold War.
